I normally use Openbuilds and they have two options: the mini-mill (basically a tiny aluminum milling machine) or the C Beam Platemaker (a beefed up 3018). I'm wondering what design advantages the mill (motor fixed in X & Y) could have over the more familiar fixed gantry style (motor fixed in Y only) or if its a "strictly better" upgrade.
