Re: Spindle does not work Micromill 200. by Martin » Mon 02 Nov, 2009 10:29 am. The Micromill is fitted with a 90 volt DC 0.37KW motor. You will need to set Switches S1 & S2 to 50-100V. S1 = off. S2 = on. Then set the pots to the same position as the on the faulty unit. The motor will not be stable at very low rpm.

These seem to be an easier path to follow compared to a manual mill conversion. My initial research suggests a Denford Novamill might be a good option - newer and better spec than a Starmill, and smaller than a Triac (which wouldn't fit!). Alternatively a Boxford 190 VMC could work.

My only assumption is that QuickCAM 3D, VR 5 and newer machines understand G19. So when it is post processing it is creating a program which contains commands that the Micromill 2000 machines don't understand. This is why VR5 is crashing mid program as the micromill doesn't understand what the command is and hangs.
